Alphabet of Love asks viewers to participate in a live Art.Heals.Grief Gathering, by creating a collage on an index card honoring someone in your life: a person, pet, or place you love and have lost, or know you will lose someday (anticipatory grief). Your piece will become a permanent part of this evolving installation.

Materials for this memorial piece will be provided, and gentle guidance will be offered. No art experience is required, only willingness to engage.

The ritual of intentional mourning unfolds in three parts: first, naming the person or loss to be honored; second, a period of creating the collage as an act of love; third, placing the finished piece into the larger installation. The ritual ends with three bell strikes using a crochet hook handmade by my great (x5)-grandfather.
